The communication notebook

Lisa, the founder of PictureMyLife, has a young son with Down syndrome. To improve communication between home and school, she used a communication notebook. In it, teachers, speech therapists, and support workers would note information about the day, sometimes supplemented with photos. However, her son couldn’t do much with it himself, and the notebook was often lost or damaged.

A safe space for personal stories

These challenges inspired Lisa to create a digital diary. A platform specifically designed for children and adults with communication difficulties, where they can share their experiences using pictograms, photos, videos, and voice messages. This makes communication visual, accessible, and personal.

From idea to impact

What started as a personal quest has grown into a reliable and effective communication tool. Today, PictureMyLife helps thousands of children and adults to be understood and to take control of their own story.
